Shrapnel from downed Houthi drone kills one in Saudi Arabia's Taif

One person, a Yemeni resident, was killed and two were injured by falling shrapnel after air defences brought down a Houthi drone over Taif, Saudi state TV and civil defence said, the first death announced in the kingdom since Houthi attacks intensified this month.

Why this matters. Houthi drones are now reaching cities far from the border, including Taif near Mecca.
