Iran fires ballistic missiles and drones at Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain and Iraq bases

Iran launched ballistic missiles and drones against US-linked military targets in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain and Iraq's Kurdistan region in retaliation for renewed US strikes on Iranian territory. Jordan's military said 13 Iranian missiles entered its airspace, 10 were intercepted and three landed in remote areas with no casualties; Kuwait and Bahrain said their air defenses intercepted incoming missiles and drones; Iran's IRGC claimed it destroyed a maintenance center and warehouses at a US base in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Why this matters. The strikes widen the conflict beyond direct US-Iran exchanges to include US partners hosting American forces, raising the risk that Jordan, Kuwait or Bahrain could be drawn into direct retaliation against Iran.
