Iran raises Hormuz with Oman and Turkey

L'Orient Today, citing Reuters, reported that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held separate calls with Omani and Turkish counterparts on the regional crisis and especially the Strait of Hormuz. The ministry account said the parties stressed diplomatic channels to prevent escalation.

Why this matters. Iran is pairing route-control claims with mediation calls, so the next watchpoint is whether Oman, Turkey or Qatar can turn de-escalation language into ship-routing, permit or ceasefire receipts.
