IRGC Navy strikes and destroys U.S. Saildrone Explorer USV in Strait of Hormuz

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy attacked and destroyed a U.S. Navy Saildrone Explorer unmanned surface vessel (hull 5838) at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian military officials announced that the vessel was conducting hostile reconnaissance in Iranian-monitored waters and stated that any hostile movement in the strait will be targeted.
