Iran's IRGC fires ballistic missiles at U.S. carrier and destroyer, hits US-linked tankers in Hormuz retaliation

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy launched ballistic missiles toward a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and a destroyer patrolling near the Strait of Hormuz and said it struck three US-linked vessels taking what Tehran called an unauthorized route through the strait, in direct retaliation for earlier U.S. strikes that disabled or destroyed three Iranian oil tankers.
