Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes targeting the Ali al-Taher woodland near Nabatieh al-Fawqa, as well as Mansouri in Tyre and areas between Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and Mayfadoun in southern Lebanon on August 27, 2026.

Why this matters. Targeting high-ground positions around Upper Nabatieh disrupts militant staging areas while impeding stabilization required for proposed Lebanese army deployment along the border.
