Khamenei forbids acts that 'harm social cohesion', rejects 'war or negotiations' framing

In a written statement released on Telegram, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei declared that 'committing anything that harms social cohesion is forbidden', told officials to avoid 'discouraging statements' and false choices such as 'war or negotiations', and pointed to domestic production and a smaller role for the dollar as answers to inflation and unemployment.

Why this matters. The order tries to shut down the public argument inside Iran's leadership over talks with Washington; President Pezeshkian nonetheless again tied the economic crisis to the war, sanctions and blockade the same day.
