Guardian live coverage, citing Reuters, reported WTI at $86.08 and Brent at $89.08 as Trump's Iran-deal claim pushed oil lower and Asian equities higher. Trading Economics showed Brent around $89 on Jun 12 and warned that reopening still depends on demining, production restarts, repairs, and physical flow proof.
Why this matters. The market is pricing paperwork before the waterway is fixed. A signed text may move screens first, but demining orders, insurer guidance, port instructions, and visible tanker transits are the receipts that decide whether the relief lasts.
