Trump cancels Iran strikes as oil falls

Guardian, AP, Al Jazeera and L'Orient reported that Trump said he cancelled scheduled Iran strikes after claiming high-level approval for talks. Later CBS and Times of Israel carried Fars-linked Iranian pushback, and Times of Israel reported an Israeli official saying Jerusalem had not been told of a finalized U.S.-Iran deal.

Why this matters. The strike pause is now a verification fight, not a settlement: markets repriced the threat, but Iran and Israel-linked denials keep approval, signing, blockade enforcement, and Hormuz traffic as live receipts.
