Adm. Brad Cooper visited sailors on the USS Abraham Lincoln during a regional tour that ended Saturday, U.S. Central Command said. The carrier has been supporting the U.S. war against Iran, including the blockade of Iranian ports, and has spent more than 240 days at sea without interruption.
Context
The visit is an official checkpoint on the longest current carrier deployment of the Iran war, after reports of strain on the crew.
