US Central Command said its forces had redirected 96 commercial ships and allowed more than 50 vessels carrying humanitarian supplies through since the blockade of Iranian ports was reimposed in mid-July.
Why it matters
The running tally is Washington's main public measure of the blockade, which Iran is trying to counter with its own restricted zone.
