China announced on Tuesday that it would send an envoy to relevant countries in the region to help prevent another escalation in the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran, Al Jazeera reported.
Why it matters
China’s planned regional outreach adds a diplomatic channel as U.S.-Iran negotiations and maritime access through the Strait of Hormuz remain central decision points.
