Yemen’s information minister said two Houthi missiles landed near the runway at Aden International Airport, about 500 metres from an aircraft preparing to depart. He said passengers and crew were unharmed. The Houthis said they targeted Saudi forces’ command headquarters at Badr camp and a weapons depot in Aden province.
Why it matters
The reported strike brought missile fire close to the airport serving Yemen’s internationally recognised government, creating an immediate civil-aviation and government-logistics disruption risk.
