Iraq increased crude exports through Ceyhan from about 350,000 to 500,000 barrels a day, OilPrice.com reported, citing a North Oil Company source quoted by Kurdistan 24 on Monday. Iraq is trucking Basrah crude north to feed the pipeline system as Hormuz disruptions constrain its southern exports.

Why it matters

The additional 150,000 barrels a day gives Iraq an export outlet that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz.
