Lebanon's government bans Hezbollah military activity and demands its weapons

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called Hezbollah's military operations "illegal acts," banned the group's military and security activity, confined it to politics and ordered the army and security agencies to stop rocket and drone launches and detain those responsible. He reaffirmed the 2024 ceasefire with Israel and called for resuming talks.
