Preliminary Kpler data cited by OilPrice.com showed Middle East crude exports averaging 12.8 million barrels per day in September, led by Saudi Arabia at 5.4 million bpd. The report said Gulf producers reached 13.2 million bpd last Wednesday, but flows remained below the roughly 17 million bpd average before the war and Hormuz traffic remained weak.
Why it matters
Higher exports give Gulf producers more supply capacity, but flows remain materially below pre-war levels, leaving oil availability dependent on continued access through or around the Strait of Hormuz.
