In a written statement, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said he had 'a different opinion' on the agreement but granted permission because President Pezeshkian gave commitments on safeguarding the rights of the Iranian nation and the 'resistance front' and explicitly accepted responsibility for it. He added that face-to-face talks with the U.S. would not mean accepting 'the enemy's position'.
