Iran's Atomic Energy Organization said a projectile struck near the fence of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, damaging an auxiliary building and killing a security staff member; the main sections were undamaged and the IAEA said no rise in radiation was reported. Rosatom began evacuating 198 more workers, and on April 6 the IAEA confirmed from satellite imagery recent strikes close to the plant, one just 75 metres from its perimeter.

Why it matters

Iran says the site has been struck four times in the war, and the IAEA warned that continued military activity near the operating plant could cause a severe radiological accident.
