A Qatari delegation coordinated with U.S. officials arrived in Tehran on Friday for talks aimed at reviving a ceasefire process between the United States and Iran, according to Iran's IRNA news agency as reported by Al Jazeera. The delegation is led by a senior adviser to Qatar's prime minister and foreign minister.
Why it matters
The talks create a near-term channel for limiting further U.S.-Iran military action and could affect decisions on maritime security and energy flows through the Strait of Hormuz.
