Rystad Energy said Gulf oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz are recovering gradually but are unlikely to return to normalized pre-war volumes, which it put at about 18 million barrels a day versus current flows near 12 million barrels a day.

Why it matters

Lower-throughput Hormuz exports constrain the volume available to Asian and European buyers even if a limited U.S.-Iran agreement permits further recovery.
