Saudi Arabia says attacks cut East-West pipeline flow by 700,000 barrels a day

In its first damage disclosure of the war, Saudi Arabia's Energy Ministry said a strike on an East-West Pipeline pumping station cut throughput by about 700,000 barrels a day and hits on Manifa and Khurais each cut output by about 300,000 barrels a day; refineries including SATORP, Ras Tanura and SAMREF were also hit, and fires at Ju'aymah disrupted LPG exports. One Saudi security guard was killed and seven people were wounded.
Why it matters
The pipeline carries oil to the Red Sea around the Strait of Hormuz, so the damage narrows Saudi Arabia's main bypass while the strait stays largely closed.
