Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority said attacks on Riyadh International Airport killed three Saudi nationals and injured other Saudi citizens and foreign residents. Saudia said one of the dead was a pilot and that an aircraft was damaged on the ground without passengers aboard. The Houthis had claimed a ballistic-missile strike on the airport.
Why it matters
The Saudi confirmation establishes fatalities and damage to a Saudia aircraft from the claimed strike, although the aviation authority said airport traffic had returned to normal.
