Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV said Saudi Arabia struck the Yemen Oil Company facility in Al-Sabaha, west of Sanaa, after the Saudi-led coalition warned civilians to evacuate the area. An AFP correspondent in Sanaa reported hearing an explosion.
Why it matters
The strike expands coalition operations to an oil-sector site near the Houthi-held capital after an evacuation warning, while the Houthis have threatened retaliatory strikes on Saudi energy and airport targets.
