Syria's General Intelligence Service said it arrested two people it linked to Hezbollah and seized explosives it said were prepared for an attack on the Homs oil refinery. Hezbollah denied the allegation and said it has no presence in Syria.
Why it matters
A successful attack on Homs, one of Syria's two oil refineries, could have disrupted domestic fuel supplies and widened the regional security fallout.
