The United Arab Emirates Defense Ministry said it detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran that it assessed were targeting maritime traffic. Both missiles fell into the sea, Reuters reported. Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei rejected the UAE statement as baseless.
