UN inquiry finds 'reasonable grounds' US strikes on Iranian school were war crimes

The UN's Independent International Fact-Finding Mission on Iran said there were reasonable grounds to believe US forces carried out the Feb. 28 strikes on the Shajareh Tayyebeh primary school in Minab, where more than 150 people including about 120 children were killed according to Iranian officials, and on a sports complex in Lamerd, and that both were war crimes. It also found Iran's authorities committed crimes against humanity in crushing protests. The White House called the report 'unserious nonsense.'
