UN says time is running out to deliver aid to Houthi-encircled Taiz

The UN said more than 800,000 people in Yemen's Taiz have been cut off from aid after Houthi forces encircled the city in early October and blocked its road link to Aden. OCHA said fighting was preventing aid deliveries and departures, while fuel, food and cooking gas supplies dwindled.
Why it matters
Hospitals, water pumps and community kitchens are relying on remaining local stocks; the UN says sustained humanitarian access is needed before those supplies run out.
