UN peacekeepers say a projectile hit their Naqoura headquarters in south Lebanon

UNIFIL said a projectile hit a building inside its headquarters in Naqoura just before noon and that it believed it was fired by a non-state actor, after Hezbollah claimed attacks on Israeli forces in the town; it said fighting over the previous 48 hours had forced peacekeepers into shelters.

Why it matters

Peacekeepers also reported ground combat around Khiam, Mays al-Jabal and other border villages, showing Israel's renewed incursion reaching the U.N. force's main base.
