At a Security Council meeting called by France on the Bab al-Mandeb, US diplomat Jennifer Locetta said Iran was 'the principal violator' of resolutions 2140 and 2216 by arming, funding and directing the Houthis, and called on the group to halt its advance, withdraw from seized territory and stop attacks.
