US strikes IRGC rocket launchers on Larak Island, first attack on Iran in a month

US forces struck two IRGC rocket launchers on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz after seeing Guards forces preparing to fire rockets carrying sea mines into the strait, CENTCOM spokesman Capt. Tim Hawkins said; CENTCOM called it "limited, precise action". IRNA, citing the Qeshm governor, said two people were killed and several wounded in the attack late on Sunday.

Why it matters
