Fars reported three explosions east of Bandar Abbas at about 1:30 a.m. local time. CENTCOM said Iranian forces launched five one-way attack drones in and near Hormuz, all intercepted, and that U.S. forces prevented a sixth launch from a ground site in Bandar Abbas; a U.S. official said four drones were downed and a ground station about to launch a fifth was hit.
Why it matters
It was the second round of U.S. strikes in southern Iran in three days, and Washington still described the ceasefire as holding.
