The USS Abraham Lincoln returned to Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego after a 322-day deployment that included support for U.S.-Israel military operations against Iran, Al Jazeera reported. The carrier had left the Middle East in late August.
Why it matters
The carrier’s return confirms that this strike group is at its U.S. home port rather than available in the Middle East without a new deployment order.
