Brent crude traded at $97.36 a barrel after JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Kpler estimates indicated Persian Gulf oil exports had recovered close to pre-war levels. OilPrice reported Kpler estimated Hormuz exports at nearly 80% of pre-war levels, while JPMorgan estimated as much as 98%.
Why it matters
A recovery in Gulf export volumes would ease the immediate physical-supply pressure behind recent oil-price spikes, even while tanker attacks and Hormuz transit risks continue.
