Central Command spokesman Capt. Tim Hawkins said 232 service members had been injured in the Middle East, 30 more than Monday's tally, with 207 back on duty and 10 seriously wounded; 13 U.S. service members have been killed since the war began.
Why it matters
The count kept rising as the Pentagon sent more Marines and warships toward the theater, increasing the exposure of U.S. forces to Iranian missile and drone fire.
