UKMTO said a cargo vessel was struck by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz area; two US officials told CBS the CMA CGM San Antonio was hit by a possible land-attack cruise missile, injuring several Filipino crew. CMA CGM confirmed the attack, the injuries and damage to the ship.
Why it matters
It was the fourth ship incident UKMTO reported in the area since the US operation was announced.
