Trump said that at the request of Pakistan and other countries, and because 'Great Progress' had been made toward a final agreement with Iran, the operation to move ships through Hormuz would be paused briefly while the blockade stayed 'in full force'. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the decision.
