Israel's military said it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, the first such launch of the war, and Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree said the group had fired ballistic missiles at 'sensitive Israeli military sites' in southern Israel. The Houthis claimed a second attack that evening, and a deputy information minister said closing the Bab al-Mandeb strait was among their options.
