Iran urges evacuation of UAE ports Jebel Ali, Khalifa and Fujairah as possible targets

Iran's judiciary news agency Mizan claimed without evidence that U.S. forces were using the civilian ports of Jebel Ali, Khalifa and Fujairah, called them legitimate targets and told people nearby to evacuate. Earlier Saturday a drone interception sparked a fire near Fujairah's port, and Iran's joint command threatened U.S.-linked oil facilities if its own energy sites were hit.

Why it matters

It was Tehran's first threat against a neighbor's civilian infrastructure rather than military targets, aimed partly at Jebel Ali, the busiest port in the Middle East.
