In a Truth Social post, Trump said many countries would join the U.S. in sending warships to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and named China, France, Japan, South Korea and the U.K. as nations he hoped would help. He said the U.S. would keep 'bombing the hell out of the shoreline' and shooting Iranian boats out of the water.
Why it matters
No country confirmed a deployment, and Araghchi mocked the appeal as 'begging' while urging Gulf neighbors to expel 'foreign aggressors.'
