Israel ordered residents of Nabatieh, the south's second-largest city, to move north of the Zahrani River and issued warnings for at least 50 towns, as troops clashed with Hezbollah along the Litani and pushed toward Zawtar al-Sharqiyah. Lebanon's Health Ministry said strikes killed 31 people, 14 of them in Burj al-Shamali near Tyre.

The order extended Israeli operations beyond the Litani, long treated as a de facto line, three days before military talks in Washington.
