About 500 Shiite protesters angered by Khamenei's killing stormed the U.S. Consulate in Karachi, smashing windows and reaching the compound's outer periphery before police and paramilitaries dispersed them with batons and tear gas. Police said six were killed; the police surgeon told Al Jazeera nine bodies reached the civil hospital.
