Netanyahu orders stepped-up strikes on Hezbollah as residents flee Beirut suburbs

Netanyahu said he had ordered "an even greater acceleration" of operations to "crush" Hezbollah, saying Israel had killed 600 of its members in recent weeks, and residents fled Beirut's southern suburbs. A strike late that night in the Bekaa Valley killed 12 people, Lebanon's National News Agency said.
Why it matters
The order came as the U.S.-Iran draft reportedly sought an end to fighting on all fronts, including Lebanon.
