The Persian Gulf Strait Authority, the body Iran set up to manage the Strait of Hormuz, said some charterers were forcing vessels onto invalid routes and warned this risks "financial and life losses" and would seriously restrict those ships' future passage; it said breaches by charterers could bring restrictions on all vessels of the companies involved.
