Magen David Adom said a woman of about 30 was found critically wounded by a road south of Safed and pronounced dead after rocket fire from Lebanon, and two other people were lightly hurt; the military said dozens of rockets were fired at the area.

Why it matters

AP reported it was the war's first Israeli death from fire out of Lebanon, as sirens sounded almost nonstop across the north.
