Saudi-led coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki said air defences intercepted and destroyed a Houthi ballistic missile launched toward Saudi Arabia’s Medina region. The announcement followed a Saudi civil-defence warning of potential danger in Yanbu Governorate, near the strategic port.
Why it matters
The launch and civil-defence warning affect public safety around Yanbu, a port repeatedly targeted during the Houthis’ campaign against Saudi Arabia.
