Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Mora Namdar urged U.S. citizens to "DEPART NOW" by commercial means from countries including Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE and Yemen, as well as the West Bank and Gaza.
