Al Jazeera reported that a supertanker was struck in the Strait of Hormuz. The retrieved report did not identify the vessel or specify damage, casualties or the party responsible.
Why it matters
A confirmed strike on a large crude carrier can further constrain tanker transits and insurance availability through the Strait of Hormuz.
