President Donald Trump said the United States is evaluating whether to join Saudi Arabia’s military campaign against Yemen’s Houthi movement following the latest attack on Riyadh airport. He said no decision had yet been announced.
Why it matters
A U.S. decision to participate would add American forces directly to the Saudi-Houthi war and could broaden operations around Yemen and Red Sea shipping routes.
