The UK said it would designate Iran's Revolutionary Guards under new proscription-like powers for state-backed threats, making it a criminal offence to support, assist or benefit from the group, with potential life sentences; the Iran-linked HAYI group, tied to attacks on Jewish targets in Britain, is also to be designated.
