US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee told a Tel Aviv conference that Israel had sent Iron Dome batteries and personnel to operate them to the UAE, confirming remarks by UN Ambassador Mike Waltz a day earlier. The UAE did not immediately comment.
Why it matters
It was the first public confirmation from US officials that Israeli air defenses and troops had been sent to the UAE.
